A south entrance of the main sanctuary is decorated by a elaborated carving of lintel.
And sandstone feet are placed on the both sides on front of the entrance for the remainder of statue.
Three lotuses are carved on the elevated step on the entrance.
A original characteristic of Phanom Rung is expressed by using lotus pattern at every strategic point same as a house crest, so it suggests that they had a high quality culture in that time.

In this main sanctuary,
a stone statue of bull, "Nendi"
a stone monument of god Shiva and lotus, "God Shiva"
a stone phallus of god Shiva, "Shivalingam"
etc.., various carvings are enshrined into this building.
Especially, visitor can see "linga" (be called "Shivalingam" in here) that cannot see in Phimai Historical Park because it is kept in Museum.
"linga" is a stone phallus, the focus of Brahmanic rituals. This is a important data for considering about a roots of Khmer culture.
